Custom neon signs in London – designed, made and delivered to order

Short answer: Underneon builds custom LED neon signs to order at its workshop in Daugavpils and ships them to London and the rest of Greater London in 2–5 working days after production. You get a free mock-up and a price within 1–2 working days, and production takes 10–15 working days (rush orders from 5).

From October to March it is dark in London long before closing time, and a lit sign does a lot of work: it draws people in from the pavement, gives a bar its character and turns up in the photos your customers post. More than 3,000 signs have left the workshop since 2021, for cafés, bars, salons, gyms, offices and events, always in the same order: design, your approval, then production.

Neon signs for London venues and events

• coffee shops and cafés – your name or logo behind the counter, or a line on the wall that people photograph, from Shoreditch to Clapham;
• bars, pubs and restaurants – a coloured sign that sets the mood in Soho or Peckham before anyone opens the menu;
• salons and barbers – a logo above the mirror or at reception, often in pink or warm white;
• gyms and studios – a motivational line or the logo on the training floor;

How ordering from London works

1. Type your wording in the sign designer or send your logo file, the size and a picture of where it will hang.
2. Within 1–2 working days you get a price and a mock-up at real scale, and we revise it until you are happy.
3. Approve the design and we start building: normally 10–15 working days, as little as 5 if it is urgent.
4. Every sign is switched on and checked in the workshop, then sent by courier to London in 2–5 working days.
5. Indoor signs come with a power supply and fixings, so you can hang them yourself.

Lettering, logos and colours

The mock-up shows how your logo looks as a line of light and which shade comes closest to your brand colour. Choose from 11 standard colours, or RGB to change the colour from your phone or a remote. Original gives the cleanest result for a brand sign you will see every day, with even light, hidden wiring and a slimmer line; Economy is the lower-cost option for a one-off event. Outdoor signs and advertisement consent

A sign on the front of a building, on a terrace or under a canopy needs weatherproofing. Weatherproofing is an extra that adds 25% to the sign price and takes Original up to IP67 and Economy up to IP65. A sign without it belongs indoors, though behind a window it is fine as it is. Illuminated signs on the outside of a building may need advertisement consent from your borough council, especially in a conservation area, so check before you order. We can send a dimensioned mock-up for the application.

What a sign for London costs
